This renovation has been shaped by the community from the very start. Hundreds of residents have already told us, in surveys and conversations, how they use the Main Library and the Bellevue Avenue Branch and what they hope these buildings can become. With DIG Architecture now appointed to lead the design, those voices matter more than ever — because this is the moment when ideas start turning into drawings.

So we're opening the doors wider. Your Library, Your Voice is a series of community listening sessions led by Montclair Public Library Executive Director Radwa Ali. They're a chance to sit down together, in person, and talk about what you love about your library, what you wish it did better, and what you want from the renovated Main Library and Bellevue Avenue Branch.

You don't need to prepare anything or know anything about architecture or construction. If you use the library — or wish you could use it more — your perspective belongs in the room.

Here's what you can expect: a warm, informal conversation; a short overview of where the project stands; and plenty of time to share your own ideas and questions. Everything we hear will be brought directly into the design and community-engagement process with DIG.

Twelve sessions are scheduled across late October and early November, at a range of days and times to make it easier to find one that fits your schedule. All sessions are held at the Main Library.
